In general, coastal rowing skiffs are built to handle rough water conditions safely. They are wider and deeper than traditional boats. The strong lip joint construction around boat increases overall durability and stiffness, making the boats easy to carry and crucially helps repel water when rowing through waves.
HOW ARE COASTAL BOATS DIFFERENT TO TRADITIONAL ROWING BOATS?
Swift Coastal racing boats are built using sandwich construction with fiberglass cloth and Lantor coremat with carbon tape for reinforcement of high stress areas.
